Currently, I am studying at Codechrysalis immersive Bootcamp. This course is a 3-months intensive course which holds classes every Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. In this course, you will learn coding, specifically JavaScript, and get various soft skills such as communication, time management, and autonomy. These skills are all crucial when you work as an engineer.
I have decided to join this course because it provides an English course. Also, I empathized all the soft skills mentioned above are necessary to become an engineer.
There is an entrance exam to join this immersive course which checks your basic skills and knowledge about JavaScript. Since I hadn’t learned any programming languages, I studied by myself at Udemy’s JavaScript courses for a few months. I took several courses at Udemy, and my favorite course is ‘The Modern Javascript Bootcamp Course 2021’ by Colt Steele. His explanations are informative yet simple.
It was quite hard to keep studying as I still had my work, but I tried to take some study time mainly at night. After some self-study for a few months, I decided to take the entrance exam. I took the test twice and finally managed to pass it!
So right now, I’m working on the pre-course assignments and assessments. This pre-course aims to build up basic skills and knowledge about JavaScript. Also, I am learning how to use git and GitHub.
I am going to write articles mainly about the Bootcamp life in Japan, my self-study blog, tech-related topics, and what career change to an engineer is like :)
